    At The Good Coat, our business is designing and crafting the best lab coats. If yours isn’t working for you, such as the size you ordered just isn’t quite right, we want to help get it corrected.

    To get started, have a look at our Return Policy to make sure your coat is eligible for a return.

    Then follow the steps outlined below in the “How to return your coat” section.

    If you are not completely satisfied with your coat or order, we would like to hear about it. Your feedback is very important to us, so please Contact Us at any time.

    Return Policy

    • If your Frontline Long Coat or Strive Short Coat is not quite right, just send it back to us in its original, unworn, and unembroidered condition within 30 days of purchase for a full refund. Please note that the coat must be kept in new condition with tags attached. If you send the coat back to us and these criteria are not met, we unfortunately cannot refund your credit card (and we will donate your coat to someone else).
    • If your Frontline Coat or Strive Coat was embroidered, all sales are final and we do not accept returns on those products. The exception to this policy is if there is a mistake with the embroidery and we are at fault, in which case please return the coat to us and we will fix the embroidery problem immediately.
    • The sales of all Customized Coats are final. The exception to this policy is if there is a mistake with your order and we are at fault. In which case please return the coat to us and we will craft your Customized Coat to the your exact specifications.

    Our small business, The Good Coat, makes one product: uncompromisingly high-quality, meticulously-designed, painstakingly-crafted, professional lab coats and white coats. And we take great satisfaction in it. No detail is too small: from each stitch to each pocket, from each seam to each button, every detail is carefully chosen and put on our coats for a reason. And we stand behind the craftsmanship of each coat with a quality guarantee. If you are not completely satisfied with your Good Coat at the time you receive it, or if it does not perform to your satisfaction over the first year from purchase, return it to us for replacement or refund.

    How to return your coat:
    Want to return your coat? Please follow the steps below.
    Before you begin, please note the following:
    1. We only accept returns on eligible coats. Please review our Return Policy. Please call us with any questions.
    2. If want to return a coat 30 days after your purchased the coat, we are happy to discuss this with you at any time. Please call or email us so we can make it happen.
    3. All returns should be shipped back with the original packaging slip so we can identify your item.
    4. The blue Good Coat shipping bag that your coat arrived in is reusable – please return your coat in this same shipping bag.
    5. We offer a pre-paid USPS return shipping label to make your return easier; if you choose to use this label, a return shipping charge of $7.50 will be deducted from your refund.
    6. Once we receive your returned coat and confirm return eligibility, we will refund the original form of payment / credit card.
    7. Please allow up to 2-3 weeks for your return to be processed.
    Returns with an account (using pre-paid USPS shipping label):
    If you want to return your coat using our pre-paid USPS shipping label and you have an account:
    1. At our homepage, log in to your account and click on “Purchase History” on the left side of the page.
    2. Find the order/coat you want to return, note the order number and shipping zip code (will be used in next step), and click on “RETURN”
    3. On the next page, follow the prompts to enter your order number and the zip code.
    4. Then choose the reason for the return, then click “Submit Request”.
    5. Click on the button to create your pre-paid USPS return shipping label – you can print or save as PDF for later. Note a shipping charge of $7.50 will be deducted from your refund.
    6. Tape the return label to the same blue reusable shipping bag that the coat arrived in. Note that the shipping label may not work on other sized packages.
    7. Pack the coat along with the original packaging slip. This is essential so we can identify your item.
    8. Drop package off at any US Post Office or postal box.
    9. Your credit card will be credited as soon as we receive the coat and confirm return eligibility.
    Returns without an account (using pre-paid USPS shipping label):
    If you want to return your coat using our pre-paid USPS shipping label and don’t have an account with us, have your order number and shipping zip code ready (these can be found in the order confirmation emails from The Good Coat or on the original packaging slip). Then:
    1. Click here to go to our no account returns processing page.
    2. On the no account returns processing page, follow the prompts to enter your order number and the zip code.
    3. Then choose the reason for the return, then click “Submit Request”.
    4. Click on the button to create your pre-paid USPS return shipping label – you can print or save as PDF for later. Note a shipping charge of $7.50 will be deducted from your refund.
    5. Tape the label to the same blue reusable shipping bag that the coat arrived in. Note that the shipping label may not work on other sized packages.
    6. Pack the coat along with the original packaging slip. This is essential so we can identify your item.
    7. Drop package off at any US Post Office or postal box.
    8. Your credit card will be credited as soon as we receive the coat and confirm return eligibility.
    Returns not using our pre-paid USPS shipping label:
    If you want to return your coat without using our pre-paid USPS shipping label, follow these steps:
    1. We highly encourage you to use the same blue reusable shipping bag that the coat arrived in.
    2. Pack the coat inside your shipping package along with the original packaging slip. This will allow us to identify your item. Please write why you are returning the item.
